剧情介绍：
日本侵略军占领北平，“白家老号”百草厅的秘方成为日军觊觎的对象。决心与日寇周旋到底的白家七爷白景琦，当晚就与李香秀秘密转移了秘方，却遭到杨九红等人的一致反对。坚持抗日的七爷孙子白占元逃往解放区参加了八路军。七爷以商会会长的身份，将大批禁运的药品，偷运到抗日前线和解放区。七爷身陷囹圄，李香秀多方斡旋，终判七爷无罪。终于日本投降，举家欢腾。解放大军开进北平，白府上下均受到深刻的思想教育。在“公私合营”运动中，七爷将珍藏百年的“白家秘方”献给了国家。然而白府却因分割家产而人人反目，七爷目睹家中的种种不幸，立下遗嘱，将财产捐献给故宫。
