剧情介绍：
本剧取材于1992年11月发生在美国某大学的一起震惊世界的“卢刚事件”，该事件的主人公、李政道奖学金获得者卢刚在大学校园制造了一起跨国校园枪杀大案。美国肯汀大学的天体物理博士生鲁杭是一位前途无量的中国留学生，有着天之骄子特有的理想和骄傲。与鲁杭同样获“李政道奖学金”赴美留的石耕雨却有着和鲁杭完全不同的成长轨迹。在这个天才的世界中，晚到的石耕雨无法忍受鲁杭像太阳一般散发出来的光芒，为了追赶鲁杭的步伐，竟然开始向鲁杭发起挑战，他不择手段，谎言和武虚作假一齐奉上，原本笼罩在鲁杭身上的光环，被石耕雨一圈一圈的夺去。从小到大都享受着一帆风顺人生的鲁杭，在一年之内经历了偏爱他的导师受人挑拨将他抛弃在学界之处；忠诚的朋友出于自身利益一步步背叛化；最交心的学长因病去世；最心爱的女友改投他人怀抱，并最终堕落和自杀；相依为命的姐姐为他而溺水死亡。在万念俱灰中，在失去了亲人、爱人、友情、信任、尊严之后，他沉浸在复仇意念中，开始迷恋左轮手枪的绝美和力量，这个曾经在校园里像王子一般的人物根本无法忍受人性的肮脏，世事的污浊，他将枪口对准了石耕雨，对准了那些伤害过他的人……
