剧情介绍：
该剧为都市题材的苦情戏，故事发生于上世纪的70年代末，讲述了寡妇侯玉倩意外地捡到了一个弃婴———窦兆辉，将其抱回家中，抚养成人。窦兆辉长大后，成为了一名杰出的外科医生，与亲生父亲李仕学在同一家医院工作。然而李仕学并不知道眼前这个对自己地位提升有很大威胁的年轻人，竟是自己的亲生儿子。为了巩固自己的地位，李仕学竟然盗走了窦兆辉的科研成果，在两人斗争不断升级的情况下，窦兆辉的生母马文玲迫不得已将事情向丈夫李仕学坦白，从而引起了两个家庭之间不断纷争。最后，窦兆辉的养母候玉倩身患重病，生命垂危，生死攸关之时，激发了人们内心的良知和爱心，在所有人的帮助和抢救下，侯玉清脱离了危险，两个家庭也因经历了这么一段风雨，而相互平静，相互体谅，最终走到了一起。
