剧情介绍：
隋朝末年，炀帝无道，贪官横行，整个社会陷入一片水深火热之中。曾在征战中立下赫赫战功的石头将军目睹民众太多的惨痛后，毅然自行剃度出家，收孤女阿得和阿舍为徒，浪迹天涯，替天行道。　　大将军江成峰一直欲与政敌威远侯石涛一比高低，对儿子江小楼镇压饥民义军的战功沾沾自喜；石涛则明里要挟武功高强的义子、石头和尚的亲生子石惊天作为自己的保护伞，暗里却怂恿义军领袖赵根东山再起以破坏对头江家的政绩。石头和尚在这场正义与私欲混杂的厮杀中竭尽全力，力图感化迷失的心灵，避免无谓的牺牲。在他的努力下，江小楼和赵根放弃了拼杀，江成峰和石涛则各自付出了生命的代价。　　石头和尚的弟子阿舍与石惊天在解救赵根时一见钟情，二人的交往使石头和尚与白玉观音多年的恩怨重又勾起。他们曾是恩爱夫妻，此时白玉观音为练武功迷失心性，四处捕捉童子，危害百姓。石头见白玉执迷不悔，于是说服弟子阿得封住自己的命脉，与白玉力拼。两败俱伤的决斗之后，白玉顿悟，于是与报仇心切的弟子郭放同归于尽，以绝恩怨。　　临汾富商张万里表面上行善无数，暗地里却豢养杀手屠命劫财。其妻于二娘本是江湖飞贼、阿舍之师，在不明真相的情况下嫁入张家。而张万里豢养的杀手落日等人，都是年幼时父母被张所杀，教养成人的。石头和尚听说许多大户人家相继被杀、财物被劫，决意打抱不平。阿得却受了落日的救命之恩，两人心生情愫。落日决定改过从善，却被心狠手辣的师父张万里斩杀。孙二娘大义灭亲，跟丈夫共赴黄泉。　　白玉与郭放同归于尽，对白玉愚忠的总管青云痛彻心扉，决意对石头和尚加以报复。他派人假冒石头，做出许多伤天害理的事。对石头敬若神明的徒弟阿舍和阿得中了青云的离间计，开始暗中给师父服药，使他的功力丧失殆尽。就在青云将取石头性命的时候，一直无法原谅父亲害死母亲的石惊天突然顿悟心中的偏见与狭隘，与阿舍联手击退青云，从此父子团圆。
