剧情介绍：
一年一度的大朝会，各地官员往来不绝。在内院不受宠的城主夫人徐钰，得知父亲回王城述职，便带着侍女“偷袭”了一胖一瘦两个小官，抢夺官服，假扮朝臣，混入朝堂一角，终于见到了三年未见的父亲——大将军徐鼎。大晟城主萧锦昀少年登基，前朝根基还不稳，此时接到大将军徐鼎索要粮草备战的请求，深感头疼。朝中文武对此意见不合，以衡山公爵为代表的一派，以徐鼎为代表的一派以及中立的丞相一派，形成三股势力，争论不休。萧锦昀好不容易平衡各派，稳住局势，却没想到被“混入朝堂”的徐钰给搅乱了。夫人上朝引发群臣强烈不满，个别老臣甚至发出礼崩乐坏的感慨，恨不得当场以死明志。衡山公爵要求城主严惩夫人，内院的主母更是提议废黜夫人。为了平息众怒，萧锦昀只得亲笔批文废黜夫人，在一旁研磨的大总管无毒感念夫人平日的好，默默流泪。这时，北境战事突起，徐鼎携军中急报觐见城主。萧锦昀嘱咐徐鼎大可放心御敌，承诺会保护好徐钰。徐钰听闻萧锦昀意欲休妻，来书房找他理论，正好撞见领命而出的父亲。
